Hello and welcome to our donation page,

At the heart of our local work are the Memory Care Cafés – free weekly social events with a welcoming circle of friends, designed to nurture both the care provider and the person living with dementia. Over the next year, we aspire to begin connecting current and future memory café organizers. This will help strengthen the formation and sustainability of these critical, early-stage dementia support structures in neighborhoods across Northern California and beyond.

Our Café gatherings are different from traditional support groups. Participants are encouraged to have fun together with a focus is on social and emotional connections for both care partners. It's a form of light respite, without the stress of separation. Additionally, the monthly Co-op offers family caregivers regular respite in exchange for program participation and training.

We depend on the generosity and foresight of supporters like you. Memory Care Life is a non-profit 501(c)(3) through fiscal sponsorship under Community Initiatives of Oakland. Your tax free donation will expand much needed support of local dementia care partners and help raise awareness about making our communities forgetfulness friendly. 

The need is compelling: 
  • 25,000 people in San Francisco are living with memory loss
  • Approximately 70% live at home
  • Isolation and lack of engagement are common problems
  • People with dementia and their caregivers are less likely to use traditional, senior support services.
Your contribution will help with the continued operation of the local Cafés, the Co-op, community memory café support and individual consultations.

Is my donation and credit card info secure?
Yes, the security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, we are a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives, which is a public 501c3 organization recognized by the IRS. Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permissible by law.

How do I know that my donation was made successfully?
You will receive an emailed receipt immediately after your donation is submitted and your credit card is processed. Your donation will also show up on your bank or card statement within 1-3 business days.

Do I get a receipt?
Yes, a receipt is sent to your email inbox once your donation is processed. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each period when your donation is processed.

Is my donation private?
We will not share or sell a donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.
